I want to start out with saying how privileged and thankful I am for so many things in life. After growing up and living in New York for most of my life, you could easily call it a bubble and despite its diversity, not an ideal representation of other parts of the world.
Two weeks ago, I was fortunate enough to travel with a good friend to Kenya and Tanzania. The wildlife and African landscape was breathtaking to say the least. Standing a few feet from the giraffes, lions, zebras and elephants in their natural habitat was a surreal experience. There was one thing that truly stood out to me during my trip - the humble and welcoming individuals that we met, their kindness and curiosity was mixed with hope and resilience. Please find my favorite 22 images of the trip below. Hope you enjoy them.
